Keemun Hao Ya A is one of the highest grades of Chinese black teas. Produced in the Qimen County in the Anhui Province of China, this tea brews to a gorgeous copper color with golden highlights. Aromatic and lush toasted peach notes compliment the oaky undertones of this complex yet subtle tea. Appearance: very small, wiry budsets, dark grey-black in color, with little contrasting tip Grade: superfine Manufacture: orthodox hong cha manufacture Oxidation: fully-oxidized Flavor: robust, deep, brisk with some subtle minerality Aroma: pungent, chewy raisin-y, dry fruits aroma Liquor: deep copper liquor tinged with some crimson edges Steeping Instructions 1. Fill kettle with fresh water, then heat. 2. Warm your teapot with a little hot water, discard, place your tea leaves in teapot, allowing heat of the pot to release bouquet of the tea leaves. 3. Heat water to rolling boil (212°). Steep 1 teaspoon (2.5 g/8 oz. cup) up to 5 minutes. *Vary time according to taste, & remember that steeping tea leaves beyond 5 mins does not contribute to flavor, only bitterness. Brief Health Informations Keemun Hao Ya A black tea is fully oxidised, and so does not have the same level of antioxidants as our Green or White teas.
